105) Chapter: Sleeping in a state of purity

Ibn ‘Abbas said:

The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) got up at night, fulfilled his need and washed his face and hand and then slept.

Abu Dawud said: that is to say, he urinated

105) باب فِي النَّوْمِ عَلَى طَهَارَةٍ

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ نَامَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ يَعْنِي بَالَ ‏.‏
