The Book of the Sunnah - كتاب المقدمة
Kathir bin 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin 'Awf narrated from his father:
That his grandfather said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'May Allah have mercy on the Ansar, and the children of the Ansar, and the grandchildren of the Ansar.'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ . " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الأَنْصَارَ وَأَبْنَاءَ الأَنْصَارِ وَأَبْنَاءَ أَبْنَاءِ الأَنْصَارِ "
