16) Chapter: When Food Is Brought Before A Man And He Is Inclined To Take It, He Should Not Say Prayer Before Eating It And Undesirability Of Praying While Feeling The Call Of Nature

Anas b. Malik reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying:

When the supper is brought and the prayer begins, one, should first take food.

16) باب كَرَاهَةِ الصَّلاَةِ بِحَضْرَةِ الطَّعَامِ الَّذِي يُرِيدُ أَكْلَهُ فِي الْحَالِ وَكَرَاهَةِ الصَّلاَةِ مَعَ مُدَافَعَةِ الأَخْبَثَيْنِ
أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏‏ ‏.‏ "‏ إِذَا حَضَرَ الْعَشَاءُ وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَابْدَءُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ ‏"
