24) Chapter: Standing for funerals
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
When you follow a bier, do not sit until it is placed on the (ground).
24) باب الْقِيَامِ لِلْجَنَازَةِ
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . " إِذَا اتَّبَعْتُمْ جَنَازَةً فَلاَ تَجْلِسُوا حَتَّى تُوضَعَ "
