44) Chapter: The prohibition of striking one's checks, tearing one's garment and calling with the calls of Jahilliyyah
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Burda that Abu Musa fell unconscious and his wife Umm Abdullah came there and wailed loudly. When he felt relief he said:
Don't you know? -and narrated to her: Verily the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: I have no concern with one who shaved her hair, lamented loudly and tore (her clothes in grief).
44) باب تَحْرِيمِ ضَرْبِ الْخُدُودِ وَشَقِّ الْجُيُوبِ وَالدُّعَاءِ بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عُمَيْسٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَخْرَةَ، يَذْكُرُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، وَأَبِي، بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالاَ أُغْمِيَ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى وَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ تَصِيحُ بِرَنَّةٍ . قَالاَ ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ قَالَ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمِي - وَكَانَ يُحَدِّثُهَا - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ . " أَنَا بَرِيءٌ مِمَّنْ حَلَقَ وَسَلَقَ وَخَرَقَ "
