38) Chapter: The virtue of helping the warrior who is fighting in the cause of Allah with mounts etc., and looking after his family in his absence
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent a force to Banu Lihyan (who are from Banu Hudhail, and said:
One man from every two and the reward (will be divided) between the two.
38) باب فَضْلِ إِعَانَةِ الْغَازِي فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِمَرْكُوبٍ وَغَيْرِهِ وَخِلاَفَتِهِ فِي أَهْلِهِ بِخَيْرٍ
وَحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، حَدَّثَنَا
يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، مَوْلَى الْمَهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعَثَ بَعْثًا إِلَى بَنِي لِحْيَانَ - مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ - فَقَالَ . " لِيَنْبَعِثْ مِنْ كُلِّ
رَجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا وَالأَجْرُ بَيْنَهُمَا "
